Summary
A customer device on our voice network was compromised by an unknown third party sometime yesterday
At approximately 5 PM yesterday this device began making fraudulent calls via a number of authenticated numbers attached to the device
Our voice service and provider blocked a number of calls, but due to the escalating call attempts, a block on making international calls across our entire provider account was enacted to protect ourselves and our customers from fraud
Voice customers on our network may have been unable to make international phone calls during this unscheduled outage window. Calls to New Zealand and Australia were likely not impacted.
The device(s) that caused this issue have been blocked from making these calls on our network and this will be addressed directly with the device owners
